Rachel D. Crouch, a Chicago native now living in the Washington, D.C. area, produces work in varied media using color, texture and movement. A bio posted at her Web site says that "music, life, limits, and change are just a few of the themes prevalent in Rachel's work." The bio begins with a quote from the American painter Jackson Pollock: "Every good painter paints what he is." Rachel's twin sister, Rebecca, is also a painter, who will be featured in this spot in the future.
